MINING OPERATIONS

Water plays a crucial role in typical mining operations, involving three primary types: Process Water is essential for mining operations. Seeping Water Over time, mineral sediments, often called slimes, accumulate in process water ponds. In mining, there's a lot of leftover solid waste, called "tailings water," which is mostly rocks and dirt. To prevent these tailings from getting into the environment, enrichment plants use ponds for safe disposal. These ponds need regular maintenance to stay safe and functional.

01

SLIMES REMOVAL

  • Removing mineral sediments, known as slimes, from process ponds to prevent pump clogging and maintain production rates.
  • Clearing slimes from rain or groundwater ponds in open-pit mines.

02

VALUABLE MATERIALS

  • Returning coal from drainage ponds to the processing system.
  • Recycling old tailings for reprocessing.
  • Recovering spilled ore.

03

POND MAINTENANCE

  • Ensuring the proper maintenance and volume of tailings ponds.
  • Transporting tailings to the final deposit area.
  • Reinforcing the banks of tailings ponds.
  • Leveling the tailings within these ponds to maintain their integrity.
